Our Commitment
Horsforth Town Team C.I.C. is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible. We aim to conform to Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
What We Have Done
The following measures support accessibility on this site.
- All pages use a logical heading hierarchy (h1, h2, h3).
- Colour contrast meets or exceeds the WCAG 2.1 AA ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text.
- Interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields) have visible focus indicators.
- Form inputs have associated labels and descriptive placeholder text.
- Images that convey information have descriptive alternative text.
- The site is navigable using a keyboard alone.
- Page language is declared in the HTML element.
- No content flashes more than three times per second.
Known Limitations
We are aware of the following areas that do not yet fully meet our accessibility target and are working to address them.
- Some embedded map content may not be fully keyboard accessible. We are reviewing alternatives.
- Certain PDF documents linked from this site have not yet been audited for accessibility. Accessible versions will be added progressively.
